another visit to the pumpkin patch

One of my favorite things that we do every year is to visit the pumpkin patch. The combination of fall weather, layered clothes, beautiful scenery, and family time makes for large amounts of awesomeness as far as I'm concerned. This year was probably the most fun yet, because both kiddos were old enough to be able to run around and do things without our help and really enjoy themselves. It was also a lot of fun to see Caleb leading Makayla around and being the big brother. He and I had been a couple of weeks earlier for his school field trip, so he knew his way around a little better.  Most of the time, Makayla's not too fond of her brother telling her what to do, but she didn't seem to mind at all this day.

Our favorite part was probably the corn field maze.  We ran into a few dead ends, but we still enjoyed just wandering through and watching the kids try to figure out which way to go next.  Caleb mentioned a few times that we were lost and that we needed a map!
